Getting to Know the Dunton Family Day 1

Since it has been such a long time that we have written, I thought it would be fun to spend some time doing a Getting to Know Series.

Day 1:

Who are you?

Jaime: Jaime is the mommy in our little family. She grew up in Provo,Utah. She is a huge sports fan and loves rooting for her BYU Cougars and for the Boston Red Sox. She is getting ready to complete her Master's Degree in September. Her hobbies include: reading, photography, family history, doing crafts, watching history shows and watching sports. Her dream job is to work for the Boston Red Sox.

Eric: Eric is the daddy in our little family. He was born in the Pittsburgh area and grew up going between Pittsburgh and Maine. His hobbies include: horseback riding, working with dogs, and watching history shows with Jaime. His dream job is owning his own business.

Bostyn Tea: Bostyn Tea is our oldest pup. She joined our family in March of 2011. In the past little bit she has become a playful puppy that can be described as spastic. She is a ball of energy that is into everything. She loves traveling with her daddy and is definitely a "daddy's girl". Her favorite activities are: running, spending time with her dad and trying to put separation between mommy and daddy.

Salem Devlyn: Salem is our middle pup. She joined our family in November of 2011. She looks like a mini horse. She is always in her own world and has the sweetest temperament. She loves playing with balls and loves to eat. She is her mommy's baby.

Lexington Bella (aka Boo): Lexington is our youngest pup. She joined our family in April 2015. She is daddy's service dog. She loves spending all of her time with daddy and making sure that he is doing okay with his PTSD. She also loves watching sports with her mommy.

Life Update

Once again I cannot believe how much time has past since I last posted (it has been over two years!). Quite a bit has happened to our family in that time.

In September of 2016 I finally decided to make a huge leap of faith and enrolled my into grad school at American Public University. I officially started my degree in October of 2016 and will finish everything by the end of Sept. 2018.

At the same time that all of this was going on, I felt like we needed to get out of Cedar City but had no idea how to even go about doing this. In October everything fell into place and we were able to move back home. We have been living here for going on two years and it has been really nice. However, if we can ever get it figured out we plan on moving back East again.

In May of this year Eric started having seizures and was hospitalized for a week. They were not able to figure out what was causing them and referred him to a Neurologist. We still don't have any answers on what is causing him to have seizures but are hopefully about getting it figured out soon.

At the end of June I started doing my internship, which is the last step to getting my master's degree. This class is 16 weeks long and I have to do 160 hours. I have been putting in 15 hour days between my full time job and my internship. It definitely makes for long days! But I am loving the experience that I am gaining and am hopefully that I will be able to transition into my dream career in the near future.
