Our Family Timeline...

January 7th 2011: Eric and I met at Utah Valley University and ended up talking to each other for about an hour. He told me all about wanting to get back into the Army and how he was doing ROTC on campus. He also talked about getting baptized the next day. While we were talking, I was texting my sister in law Kim all about the hot Army guy I was talking to.

January 8th 2011: Eric was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Kim and I talked about crashing his baptism but ended up not going because we were busy going through the temple with my sister Whitney for the first time.

Over the next week and a half we talked in passing but I was busy with my sister's wedding and spending time with her before she moved to Sydney, Australia.

January 19th 2011: Spent the night at a work event together. When a creepy guy wouldn't leave me alone he sat close by me and put his arm around me letting the guy know that I wasn't available. I found this really cute that he would do this for me. He then walked me to my car to make sure I got there safely.

January 21, 2011: Eric sent me a text inviting me to show up for another work event. He was in charge of running the X-Box Night and asked me if I was planning on coming. He convinced me that it would be fun... however I showed up with my sister Cori, brother Ammon and his wife Lacey and my nephew and niece. After my family left that night Eric sent me a text that one of the girls from work thought we should date... He then said that he thought it would be a nice idea.... I was in heaven!

We spent the weekend texting each other non-stop.

January 24 2011: We had our first "date". We actually just went and hung out at my mom's house. We spent the whole night just talking and then had our first kiss as he was leaving.

February 14 2011: As a joke I began wearing an engagement ring to work. We hadn't told any one at work we were dating because we weren't sure how well it would go over. We decided not to tell anyone who I was really dating and we made up some random guy. Eric came by to see me and made a comment about my ring and really got things going about me getting engaged... (even though it wasn't official at the time). He also had roses sent to me at work to get the girls talking about my "mysterious fiance".

March 5th 2011: Eric officially proposed to me. He put the ring on his dog Loki's collar and sent him over to me as I was laying on the couch. (What he really didn't know was that Loki and I really didn't get along) So when Loki came over to me and tried to jump on me I pushed him away, kinda ruining his "unique" proposal. Later on that afternoon we went and adopted our oldest dog Bostyn.

March 31st 2011: We decided to elope because his family wouldn't be able to come out to Utah due to money and we thought we would make it fair to both families. Our original idea was to get married on April 1st so that we could joke around about it. We went to the courthouse to get our license and then was told to make an appointment to go to the 3rd District Court. We went over and what do you know... there was a judge available right away that would love to perform a marriage. So we got married a few minutes later.

September 1st-18th 2011: Eric's mom flew in from Pennsylvania to spend time with us. She ended up helping us pack up our apartment. We packed our KIA up with as much as we could and made the 3000 mile journey to Maine to live. We stopped in Pennsylvania and dropped Eric's mom off and left Loki there with a family friend.

November 15th 2011: We added our puppy Salem to our family.

February 2012: Eric went to New Hampshire and got certified as a Bail Bondsman. He impressed the owner and was hired on.
